A Vision for Change
Jarrad, a Bronx native with a passion for sports and entrepreneurship, embarked on a journey to give back to his roots in Nigeria. Having built a successful career in business, he felt a deep calling to make a tangible impact beyond financial success. This desire led him to establish a nonprofit and undertake a meaningful project—rebuilding a soccer field in his family’s village of Mgbidi.
The Mission: Rebuilding a Soccer Field in Nigeria
While visiting Africa throughout his career, Jarrad was struck by the limited resources available to many children. “I noticed that there were kids that weren’t as privileged as I was growing up,” he reflected. Motivated by this realization, he raised $20,000 to $30,000 to fund a major initiative: rebuilding a soccer field in Nigeria. His efforts didn’t stop there—he also organized a soccer tournament, providing jerseys and soccer balls to local youth.
A Life-Changing Experience
For Jarrad, the project was more than just a philanthropic endeavor; it was one of the most rewarding experiences of his life. “Outside of having my daughter, this is the most fulfilling thing I’ve ever done,” he shared. Witnessing the joy and excitement of the children reinforced his belief in the power of giving back.

Jarrad’s journey to success was anything but conventional. “Nobody in my family ran a business, and I was the first male in my family to graduate college,” he explained. Without a blueprint to follow, he had to navigate the challenges of owning a small business through trial and error. Despite this, Jarrad persevered– enabling to not only see success as a business owner but also giving him the ability to launch his own non-profit.
