After graduating with an accounting degree, Mangcol followed in his mother’s footsteps, who had been an accountant herself. “My biggest influence growing up has to be my mom,” he shares. “She took me and my brother from one country to another, rebuilt a whole entire life here in the country. Seeing her change her lifestyle where she was comfortable where she was before, to do something brand new—that made me want to just be better for her.” Her resilience motivated him to pursue a stable career in public accounting. However, Mangcol soon realized that the path to success in the traditional accounting world was not aligned with his ambitions. His manager’s story revealed a sobering statistic: it could potentially take 28 to 33 years to become a senior partner.

“Seeing that whole entire track, I had to run away,” Mangcol admits. It was this pivotal moment that propelled him into the world of direct sales. Despite the fact that the industry was completely foreign to him, he was determined to succeed. “When everything clicked to me by just working harder than most people in the office, that’s when the consistency and the success started rolling in.” Initially employed as a sales representative for an independent company, Mangcol realized that success is about humbling yourself, being willing to ask questions, and always striving to work harder than those around you.

Through his hard work and dedication, Mangcol realized that leadership is not just about managing others—it starts with self-improvement. “Leadership is all about you being the first copy,” he emphasizes. “The better you are as a person, the better you are as a leader of others.” This mindset allowed him to evolve into a stronger leader, capable of guiding others toward success.

Mangcol found that the key to his success was not just individual effort but surrounding himself with the right people. “Now it’s about surrounding myself with better people… being willing to invest that time and work harder than others.” His approach to leadership—grounded in humility, hard work, and continuous improvement—has been integral to his growth as an entrepreneur.

Mangcol’s advice is simple but powerful: “Don’t be afraid to lead. A lot of people are scared to lead because they’re scared to fail others. However, you’re always going to fail others if you’re scared to lead.” His confidence in leadership and willingness to take risks have been crucial to his success.
